Those are the words that sum up this wonderful project. A concept devised by Nom and made a reality by Cherrypi, The Sharmen Adoption Centre will bring new life to our beloved, yet unfinished, stories. Join the movement whether it's with ideas, with a willing pen, or with a story you want to pass on to a caring author.
Let's make this happen. Let's find a good home for all the unfinished stories to grow and thrive.

We're Back On, Baby // 1 Comments
Hello, hello, everyone!!
I'm super happy to be here, stating the obvious:
the site is back!
As some of you may know, we've been having a rough time with our host these last few months, mainly because it's a poop of a host. It came to a head last month when the host just completely went down and dragged SharmenOnline down with it.
Fortunately, we've been able to restore the site from backups made on February 27 this year. Although this is good - because, well, we have the site back - it also means that story updates, new members, and comments from after February 27 are missing. :(
Well, now here's a bit of better news. We were just now able to get the most recent backups from the old host, so now there won't be anything missing and we'll have everything as it was before the crash. Woo-hoo!!
So come in and be merry! I'll keep you updated.

Switching hosts. . . Finally!! // 0 Comments
I am very pleased to announce - more so than anyone probably should be - that we have finally gotten the ball rolling on switching hosts. Yesss! This means no more going offline for bandwidth issues, and no more going offline for no-good reason at all - case in point: last weekend.
Of course, this process will take a few weekends before it is completely sorted out. We still have to push some buttons and switch some levers - you know, computer-y stuff - before we can zap ourselves out of our old host, but we are certainly getting there.
I can already see the light at the end of the tunnel, and it's bright with Sharmen goodness!

Hey-hey-hey!
Check it out: 1000 members! Woohoo!! What a nice, round number, don't you think? Very nice.
We welcome any and all Sharmeners, members or not, but it's extra special when you all sign up. It just shows that our family is growing and growing.
Yes, very nice indeed.
Speaking of growing, as you may have noticed a couple weeks back, we still haven't resolved our bandwidth issue. Getting a hold of our host has been impossible despite my own dramatically desperate attempts at emails and tickets. And the kicker is that everything has been paid for up until May of next year, so we're kind of stuck with them. Kind of. Now, don't think that you should slow down on the visits or any craziness of that sort. No way. In fact, get on your computers/phones/PDAs/whatever and burn through the bandwidth, because I've been itching to dump this host for ages now - paid for or not - just give me a good reason. *wink*
Ooff, sorry to bore you with the dirty details. I just wanted everyone to know what was going on, because this is home to any and all Sharmeners and you have a right to know. *firm nod*
Anyway, back to the important stuff. One thousand members is pretty rad. Heck yeah! It's kind of a big deal here. And if you have any comments, ideas or suggestions for the site, you can contact us or leave a comment (you have to sign in to leave a comment, though).

Hello everyone!
Some of you may have noticed a hiccup in service a couple days ago. That was because we exceeded our bandwidth for that month. But don't worry. That's actually a great thing, because it means we're growing and more Sharmeners are stopping by the site. Woohoo!
Within this or next month we'll be expanding our allowed bandwidth, so we don't cut out again. But I hope we still keep growing, growing, growing, and I hope we outgrow this expansion too. :)
So keep reading and writing and hanging out, and hopefully, if all keeps going well, I can make this announcement again. *wink*

Hello, fellow Sharmeners,
Just wanted to apologize for disappearing, there. Sorry, sorry, sorry! The company that hosts SharmenOnline had some difficulties, and its customers- we, being one of them - were out of service for several days (okay, maybe it was only two, but it felt like several). It really was not our intention to leave anyone hanging like that.
In fact, I, personally, missed this site very much (hey, I'm a Sharmener too, ya know), and I missed everyone in it. But now that we're back up, everyone can jump back in, have fun, and spread the love.

PARTY TIME!!
We've reached 100 stories, everyone!! One hundred stories of Sharmen goodness that we've come to know and love. And, being the greedy Sharmeners we are, we hope to read a hundred more. *wink*
Thanks to all the authors who have shared their stories here. Like the song says, we just can't get enough. (80's flashbaaack!!) You're the best! We also invite everyone else to share their stories here as well, and we invite any shy readers to support our authors and drop them a comment. Share the love.
Of course, can't go without saying that if you have any comments or suggestions on the site, let Admin know. We're always looking to improve and make this a place we can all enjoy.

Hello Fellow Sharmeners!
We want to take a few moments to thank all the members (all 652 members thus far) for participating in SharmenOnline. It's great to see that we have built a positive and welcoming community here where we can read a great/fun/heart-rending/lovely/dramatic Sharmen story or two.
A very, very big, warm and special thanks to all the authors who have written and posted their wonderful stories here and to all those who continue to do so. This site keeps getting bigger and better with all your submissions. With out you, this site would not be possible. It seriously wouldn't, so thank you.
Also a big, wet and sloppy thank you to the readers who have taken the time to write a review for our authors and show your support. You're all great and your words are certainly appreciated. If you haven't dropped your favorite author a line yet, we encourage you to do so. Authors love to hear what readers think. If every member wrote just one review right now, we could almost double the number of reviews on the site! :)
As always, if you have any suggestions on how to improve the site - something you would like to see, something the site can do without, something that needs tweaking - we encourage you to email the administrator and let us know. Hi Everyone,
We are introducing a new rating system. The rating scheme allows authors to determine whether or not their story should only be viewed by members of the site.
We are hoping that this new rating scheme will encourage more Sharmen writers to post in the site.
Thanks to everyone who have joined the site and most especially to the writers who have shared their work here.
If you have any suggestions on how to improve the site, please email the administrator.

It has come to our attention that we are unable to send any email to AOL.
We have asked for help from our website provider and hopefully it will be resolved soon.
For those who have requested for new passwords, unfortunately, we can not send you your new password until more than 72 hours have passed due to technical limitations.
If any AOL users are having any other problems, please inform us.
